CMU's Heinz College has committed to matching the $30,000 Truman Scholarship with a minimum $30,000 award of their own, for up to 10 Truman Scholars per academic year who are accepted and attend. This program does not charge an application fee and commits to working with each Truman Scholar individually to identify funding options to make up the difference between tuition costs and Truman scholarship plus the guaranteed funding from Heinz College.

Georgetown University

Georgetown University

The following programs have committed to matching the $30,000 Truman Scholarship with a $30,000 award of their own:

  • McCourt School of Public Policy (contingent upon satisfactory academic progress).
  • Walsh School of Foreign Service, M.S. in Foreign Service Program (contingent upon satisfactory academic progress). Application fees waived for Truman Scholars.
  • The College of Arts and Sciences. Application fees waived for Truman Scholars.

This program has committed to matching the $30,000 Truman Scholarship with a $30,000 award of their own, for up to 5 Truman Scholars per academic year.

This program has committed to matching the $30,000 Truman Scholarship with a $30,000 award of their own.

Keele

Keele University

 Keele University commits to supporting up to five Truman Scholars annually with subsidized tuition. Specifically, tuition will be halved for the following 1-year programmes:

This program has committed to 50% tuition, plus fee waivers for all applicants, for up to two Scholars per academic year.

This 12-month program has committed to matching the $22,500 Truman Scholarship with a $22,500 award of its own.

National University of Singapore

National University of Singapore, Lee Kuan Yew School of Public Policy

This program has indicated that all costs (beyond those covered by the $30,000 from the Foundation) for the Master in International Affairs will be covered by the institution for Truman Scholars.

Frank S. Pardee RAND Graduate School

The Frank S. Pardee RAND Graduate School commits to matching the $30,000 Truman Scholarship with a $30,000 award of their own. Scholars will also be eligible for a research fellowship estimated at $63,000 for the master’s level program in policy analysis and more than $130,000 for the Ph.D. program. Pardee RAND also waives its application fee for Truman Scholars. 

Princeton University

This program has indicated that all costs (beyond those covered by the $30,000 from the Foundation) will be covered by the institution for Truman Scholars.

Yale

Yale University, Jackson School of Global Affairs

This program commits to working with each Truman Scholar individually to make up the difference between tuition costs and Truman funding.

ASU

Arizona State University, Graduate College

This program has indicated that Truman Scholars are guaranteed a full-tuition award for up to two years in on-campus graduate programs.

Notre Dame

University of Notre Dame, Keough School of Global Affairs

This program has committed to award one full-tuition scholarship each year to a Truman Scholar.

UVA

University of Virginia, Batten School of Leadership and Public Policy

This program has indicated that Truman Scholars who are accepted and attend are guaranteed a minimum of $30,000/year for non-Virginia residents and $20,000/year for Virginia residents in scholarship support.

University of Washington

University of Washington, Evans School of Public Policy and Governance

This program has indicated that Truman Scholars who are accepted and attend will have their scholarship augmented by a fellowship award package valued at over $50,000 for out-of-state students over the course of two years. They will be eligible for in-state tuition and a living stipend estimated at $15,000 over two years.

This program will provide all costs related to tuition, fees, health insurance, and stipends (beyond the Truman Foundation's $30K) for up to five years for Scholars fully enrolled in doctoral-granting degree programs under the purview of the Graduate School.
